Lilke I s'plained before, I'm gonna be racing & hawking books at Mid-Ohio this coming weekend (do drop by: I'll be in the Vintage Motorsport pop-up at the entrance to the paddock garage area at lunchtime Fri-Sat-Sun). There's a big, oil-on-the-grass British Car Show in the infield on Saturday and the Mini Challenge, all-Mini feature race should be worth the price of admission all by itself.
Also, youse guys wit' neat cars in da Chicago area should really tink about droppin' by da Chicago Chapter of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club track day at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Rockton, IL. on July 3rd. Yeah, it's a Thursday, but it's also the day before a big holiday weekend so maybe youse can cop a sneak off work and be there. It's a fun, relaxed event with good people and LOTS of track time, and details are available on the chapter website. Click HERE for all the info.
By the way, I'll be there pretending to be an instructor, so if you really want some past-his-sell-by-date/has-been racing driver to beat the living crap out of your car on a track where he once won races and bush-league championships, this is your golden opportunity....
