thanks to the legal types at NBC,
who apparently think we're
trying to get away with something.
We're trying to figure out what?

You know how it feels when you think you have everything just about right, only you're lacking ONE LITTLE EFFING DETAIL to make it absolutely perfect????

OK, so it's unanimous then. We've all been there. And rued the fricking day when the thing you're missing shows up less than 24 hours after the boats (or missiles, if you grew up in the Cold War era) have already launched.

Well, that's what happened to me. And all I can do is forward these wonderful pictures that I wish I'd already had when I lit the fuse on the last E-blast.

Here, from my friend David Yando, manager of the Lane Museum in Nashville, is their Bucky Fuller Dymaxion re-creation well-posed and beautifully photographed with our magnificent (thanks, Ted Wenz!) 2015 Buddy Palumbo Award from Amelia Island.

Makes you weak in both the knees and intellect, doesn't it?

And here, from Ted's end, is a better pic of the trophy by itself and a shot of the descriptive plaque upon it. Think you can guess who wrote the drivel copy.

That's all. No adventures. No unending bullshit with far too many descriptive modifiers. No prospecting for ride-mooch opportunities or plaintive, bleating pleas for sponsors and advertisers in the new book (although we could surely use your money). Hey, it's a lovely evening here (finally) and I just got back from a 20-mile bike ride through the woods and spending entirely too much time answering e-mails.

I'm going to bed.

G'night....
